Thumbs up A Great S.A. Recipe

This great little recipe can be used as a sauce (Monkey Gland) or you can use it as a marinade after pre-cooking Chicken, and then either grill or "Braai" the Chicken.

2 Cups Tomatoe Sauce
1/2 Teaspoon Dry Mustard
2 Tablespoons Worscester Sauce
2 Teaspoons Sugar
4 Tablespoons Flaked Garlic or 1 teaspoon Fresh Garlic
4 Tablespoons A.1 Sauce
4 Tablespoons Fruit Chutney (Chunky or Smooth - your preference)
Salt and Pepper to taste

Place all ingredients into one pan, mix very well and then heat slowly.
If done in a Microwave 30 seconds at a time, mix and repeat until hot.

If serving on red meat (steak), pour over as Monkey gland Sauce and serve with
Chips, Peas and a side Salad.

If using as a marinade, pour hot over pre-cooked Chicken, let it stand until cool and then grill or "braai". Serve on a bed of Rice or with Salads.

Default A Great S A Recipe

get the Donvier out This ice cream is delicious Right now I have bacon crisping up in the oven to make two toppings to try with it for dessert later.

One, a candied bacon chips and one is a sauce with bacon, cream, maple syrup, brown sugar...... Will post a review and picture when we serve.

Thanks Taga, for posting such a great recipe idea

P.S. Im not the biggest fan of coconut milk, so used 1/2 heavy cream and 1/2 coconut milk for the heavy cream.

Default Another Yummy recipe to share

Potato Bake

Pre-boil Potatoes ( I pre-boil with skins in salt and then pull skins off when cool)
Cut Potatoes into slices and place one layer on the bottom of baking dish
Slice onion thinly and spread over Potato
Slice Mushrooms and spread on top of Onion
Place another layer of Potato on top of that
Pour Fresh Cream 250ml over Potatoes (this is for a Potato bake to serve 4)
Spread grated cheese over the top and bake until cheese has melted and cream bubbling.

This makes for a great hot salad with a Bar-B-Q or Braai or can be used as a vegy with Roast Chicken/Beef/Lamb and other vegies
